WILD ECHO

In less than two weeks 32 species of reptiles and amphibians have been recorded. Highlights included Eastern Spadefoot (Pelobates syriacus),Balkan Terrapin(Mauremys rivulata), Snake-eyed Lacertid (Ophisops elegans), Glass Lizard (Pseudopus apodus), Worm Snake (Xerotyphlops vermicularis), Sand Boa (Eryx jaculus) and  many others. One day we have seen at least two Grass snakes (Natrix natrix) and more than 18 Dice Snakes (Natrix tessellata).More than 70 snakes have been seen in the last one week of the tour !  Many birds and dragonflies were also recorded.
