Wild Echo built a new hide for European Rollers and Bee-eaters photography!

Wild Echo, in conjunction with the Prestige Hotel, built a new hide for bee-eaters and rollers photography, located on the banks of a Danube river near the town of Belene. The shelter is of the tower type with a height of 6 meters, 4 embrasures on each side and located a few meters from a large colony of both species (over 100 pairs of bee-eaters and 3 pairs of rollers). We put perching branches which offer incredible depth of focus, a wonderful background and the opportunity to enjoy and capture the secrets of the life of these bird jewelry.
The hide is available throughout the active season (May-July) and is part of our photographic tour of Rollers and Bee-eaters. Other species in the area are Little Owl, Shrikes, Cuckoo, Ground Squirrels, Golden Jackals and more.
